lmao, tbh I think it might be worth it to try out some OOP, as once you get past the language-specifics, a lot of things are really really similar in how they work. The UI end can be a HUGE pain in the ass, but there are plugins which can make building the UI drag-and-drop, so you can focus on the backend. Just a thought though.
